( Damian has been sitting, perched warily, in a tree for the better part of the day. He came to survey the damage, but honestly cannot understand how he is in any way responsible for picking it up. Therefore, he isn't. He's just lounging, watching everyone and being incredibly unhelpful. )

[heh.] Oh, I know. [brb, taking a couple bites into his, wiping the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand.] Sho--[a better swallow.] So, you can give me a hand for a little bit, yeah? Gonna go up high and map out some stuff for the guys stuck on the ground.

[a light eyeroll, but nothing more. he was pretty hungry; who eats a proper breakfast before a day of strenuous activity, anyway?

but that sandwich doesn't last long with those big bites, so soon he's crumpling the wrapper into a ball and pitching it at the trash barrel nearby. two points.

he gets up, stretching one arm as he shoots Damian a glance.]

I'll be right back. Gotta get the stuff from this guy over here...[because stuff and guy are extremely descriptive. he's heading off just a ways to talk to some guy about some paper and a marker.

which of course seems to segue into something funny, cause a laugh is shared before what's requested is gotten. GOOD TIMES FOR EVERYONE.]

( Damian doesn't do anything more than nod when Jaime gets up, which is more acknowledgement than most people get, so be thankful.

but once he's a little ways away Damian turns his head and looks at the interaction somewhat wistfully. what is having normal interactions with people? he certainly doesn't know.

and he expresses this by side-eyeing Jaime forever. )
