It was an interesting experience, Donna decided. Still operating under a tentative name and not even sure where the project was going yet, she already had a beautiful office and people interested in something she wanted to do. It was a good experience, too. She smiled to herself as she flitted from one corner of the office to the other, straightening chairs and setting out finger foods-with the high glass windows, natural light, and appetizers, it could have been a luncheon more than an office meeting.
It was a relatively small office, but modern and sleek. Apart from the reception, there were a dozen or so desks and two offshoot rooms, with furniture arranged to look like glass and marble. (She was an Amazon, there had to be marble). Once she was done fretting over the décor and arranging everything to be perfect, Donna sat down at one of the larger desks, running through notes and bills and all the other fun things that came along with starting an enterprise. It was there she’d be if anyone were to come in.
