SUMMARY: the much anticipated ball is finally here! see all the imPorts and various NPC guests wearing the snazziest of gowns and suits as they talk

[IS THERE FOOD. Because if there is, Ted is lurking near a food table attempting to hide from people. He's never been good at these big charity dance-things.]

[ Of course there is food. If there wasn't any food, Booster wouldn't have bought a ticket. Or, you know, charity. Charity is a good reason too, but food is important.

Booster is lingering nearby, trying not to get anything on his white suit. He was lucky that Ted was still employed and well-to-do when he got ported back in. Now he can live in the lap of luxury...er, a very modest lap of luxury between jobs. ]

I see some old faces here. I don't know if I should be worried or glad.

..Well, Bruce is here, so that should be amusing, at least.

Bruce is always here. I'm suspecting he never left.

[ Well, at least Selina will be happy which is more than he can say for himself. Ted, how much food can you fit in your mouth. ]

Well, he did for like two weeks, apparently.

Don't step on my feet. I like these shoes. [ Booster smiles warmly and extends his hand. ]

everyone knows the second dance is the best one, anyway.

[It's also the most awkward one. Zatanna's not bothered hiding in the slightest and has been fairly visible all evening, very rarely hitting the sidelines. She's dressed appropriately and appears more than comfortable with what she's wearing.

They haven't spoken since Mike came back. Public (and where Booster might overhear whatever is said) isn't ideal, but she misses him. So she approaches with some caution, waiting for him to notice her and make the first move.]

[Ted has noticed her! It'd be hard not to, really. But he looks up from where he is, yet again, stuffing his face, and gives her a little bit of a wave.]
