SUMMARY: Jade's birthday was Thursday, Dave's is today. John and Kanaya have therefore schemed to throw them a surprise party!
FORMAT: GET DOWN AND GET PARTYING HOWEVER YOU GOTTA
Everything was in readiness. While John had enacted the necessary subterfuge, Kanaya had sneaked in and the two of them decorated the whole house with a theme that revolved around records and frogs, complete with a big cake. It was the banner Kanaya'd done last, just in case Rose made a last minute return. It was done in her typical flourishing cursive in alternating red and lime green to spell "A Most Pleasant Birthday To You Jade And Dave", hanging in full view from the front door.
Then they'd brought everyone in, set the presents to one side, (Kanaya made sure they were perfectly organized for maximum aesthetic appeal) and waited. It would be any minute now.
