[Mr. Kinley can't help displaying some curiosity in the gentleman, though Vic has at least heard about him and the gangwar he brought to Gotham. Someone to keep an eye on.

And so, while wandering around the lounge, he raises his glass as he passes Black Mask's table.]

Enjoying your evening?

[Roman lifts his own glass politely, taking a sip. He doesn't invite Kinley to sit--you never know with these people--but he doesn't give off any hostile vibes either.]

Cobblepot always knew how to throw a party.

[Mr. Kinley rests a hand on his chin, trying to establish the skulled gentleman's business for certain. He, of course, has his suspicions. Vic is more aware, but that's knowledge he can't act on. After all, Vic isn't here.]

Ah, so you were familiar with him before? I'm...still learning how these things work among imPorts.

Were you perhaps colleagues?

Before what?

Before your arrival here, of course. Your importation.

Something like that.

[A lift of a hairless eyebrow.]

Were you?

[Time for the boldest lie of this whole disguise.]

Certainly not. I'm native to this world, in fact.

That right?

In that case, I got a question for you. What do you think of imPorts?

As a monolithic entity, you mean?

ebony_mask December 17 2011, 21:17:24 UTC
Sure.

[He taps a thumb against his chin thoughtfully.]

That can be difficult to call, actually, as they are hardly a monolith. Though it would be accurate to say that their presence as a whole has changed the shape of the City and frequently drives events, many far more dangerous than otherwise.

However, this is situation is not without its potential for profit, and I'm not one to let such an opportunity pass me by. People require caution in such dealings any way you look at it, and if imPorts require more so due to their abilities, well, fortune does favor the bold. Should it require an extra dose of discretion, then I've never had a shortage to worry about.

[He takes a sip of his drink to mark the end of his answer.]

[He takes this all in silently. When "McKinley" takes a sip of his drink, Roman gives a soft 'hmmhmm.']

What is it that you do, Mr...?

Stefan Kinley.

And I work in a very different variety of imports.

Exports as well?

When items need to be transported, I'm the man one does best to see.

What's one of the more interesting things you've ever transported?
