What's your position on a mixture of mediums?

I wanted to primarily play Sif from the Thor movie canon, but since she has little history in canon, other than that she became a female warrior when no one believed she could, I was planning to use Thor: Son of Asgard as pre-movie history.

Since it's to flesh out a character with more development in one medium than another, this is, for the most part, fine! You're (obviously) not allowed to use any information from the comics that directly or indirectly contradicts what is established in the film. (This includes things like key events, character relationships, etc.)

I'm not personally familiar with Son of Asgard, but so long as it follows that guideline, you should be fine!
