My favorite movie is Rushmore.
Rushmore has found a remarkable afterlife on DVD, which is really nice to see as someone who drove himself batshit insane trying to see it in theaters when it initially had its wide release in 1999. It only played for ONE WEEKEND in the multiplex near where I lived. I went and saw it by myself in a nearly empty theater and I remember coming out of there buzzing.
THIS is how much I love Rushmore. The ticket stub for the movie from when I saw it over ten years ago:
It lives in my wallet.
Heartbreakingly, I also used to have the ORIGINAL one-sheet poster for Rushmore, the one that hung in theaters to advertise the flick. It goes for upwards of $300 dollars on eBay now.
