Clubs in Glace Bay/Sydney area???

I am coming home to Glace Bay from Ottawa/Gatineau the weekend of Oct 19-21 to visit my parents and to introduce my boyfriend to them. I want to take him to a few bars to show him what Cape Breton bars are and just to go out and have some fun. Good Lord, you will not find a "club" in Sydney. The young people hang out at Maple Leaf Lounge on Charlotte St., and some non-scuzzy clubs in the same area are Daniel's and the Black Diamond.

Showing my boyfriend Sydney's "night life" provided hilarity (cougars! cheaters!) but not that much fun. Even Port Hood, his hometown on the west side of C.B. Island, has a better scene.
