The cats have always owned us lol! And not just these cats. Any that we have had end up being more then just "family members".

I had a cat that "owned" me when I was growing up. She's sleep under the covers with me. She could even open the door to my room when I had it closed.

I don't know much about Nantucket. It's kind of like a whole other world. When you were on the Vineyard, you didn't talk about Nantucket, because they were big high school sports rivals!

lol that's okay.

We're considered "wash ashores". We moved down here from Brockton, which is a city just south of Boston, in 1978. I do have family that goes way back on the Cape on one side, but I think my cousins have that family lineage.

We have ours traced back to Governor Bradford of the Pilgrims on one side of the family, and then to around 1632 in the South Shore area here on the other side of the family.

We're also related to Aaron Burr, but that's not a connection I like to talk about often.

I went to school in Brockton with several kids who were descended from Paul Revere lol. The genes are spread around here! Pilgrim ancestors in this part of Massachusetts are very common.
