Eye doctor's today. I need a new prescription, plus it has to be bifocals. Or as the store calls it "Progressive" lenses. I have the training wheels version of bifocals because I've never had to wear them before.
So while my regular vision is actually improving, I'm completely blind up close now.

I had bifocals when I was nine or ten to train my eyes to do something or other. It didn't work. I'm not looking forward to having them again, though I suspect the technology has greatly improved since 1972.
I'm getting tired of looking over my glasses when I want to see something close up, so I may cave next time and get the darn things.

But I have to face the fact that I really, really need them. I'm constantly flipping my glasses off to read up close.
I think this is a major contributor to my headaches and neck strain.
Man it sucks getting old.
On a separate note, I hope everything is going well with this month's procedure. *fingers crossed*
