Oh man, I've been waiting for this ever since I got the rough draft for art. I reached the end of that and literally sat staring at it for a minute thinking, "Where's the rest? I need the rest. What happens?"

But it's here! and it's even better than I expected! You, my dear, are awesome and I adored the story and I was honored to draw art for you.

I was supposed to go to bed, but I couldn't wait to read.

I've read this at least four times in the last week (one of the perks to being the mod *G*) and I love it even more with each read.

Well written BDSM fics are so hard to find and this one is fantastic.

I read this fic a week ago, but I had to sit down and seriously think about this fic. In that, I never really understood the concept of D/s, nor the notion of 'sub space' and the rest of it. So, the fact that this fic seemed really respectful and matter of fact towards the concept made it easy for me to read, and just think on these things.

There were a lot of nice things to like about this fic: the fact that Steve takes it upon himself (after the initial shock) to try and help a friend out, and does research to find stuff out. As much as I was leery about reading 30k worth of fic that seemed to be in one room the entire time, the enclosed space actually worked for the fic, in that Tony and Steve well... they do make their own realities of friendship and stuff, don't they? Yes ( ... )

Ok.
I've read this at least...twenty times already.

And I can't say how much I love it.

However, this part:

Tony must have picked up on it, because he reached up and spanned Steve’s cheek with his hand. “Hey. It’s okay, I survived.”

Steve pressed closer against him, shaking, clutching his shirt as Tony’s other hand rubbed circles on his back, unable to speak, to say anything that could possibly measure up to the magnitude of Tony, his Tony, getting his throat slit by a madman.

If Tony was uncomfortable because of his weight, he didn’t show it, saying nothing as Steve fought back the wave of tears that threatened to swamp him.

“It’s okay,” Tony whispered in his ear, and Steve, who had grown used to providing comfort, now took it instead, muffling his hitching sobs against Tony’s shoulder, until his shirt grew damp with escaped tears, while Tony wrapped his arms around his back and anchored him to earth.

Comfort, like trust, ran both ways. It's the most beautifull and heartbreaking thing I've ever read. Steve crying ( ... )

I'm so incredibly awed by this fic. I'm an h/c junkie, and your story just makes me so happy, the rebuilding of trust and love and Tony finally having someone who cares about him. I love your inclusion of the complexities of a BDSM relationship; the trust it takes on both the participant's parts. I love that Steve also had his vulnerable moments, especially the moment where Tony's comforting him.
