Gender Econ!

On Thursday, I have my first Economics of Gender class (referred to from now on as Gender Econ). I'm excited/scared/anxious!!! I totally created this class from scratch. I'm also very fortunate to have the opportunity, since I'm a lowly adjunct. See the SSU homepage for a feature article about my class ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, SSU has not quite caught up with the online revolution... we just gained the ability to register for classes and submit grades electronically!

WOW! Our local Community College offers online courses as well as online registration, grades, webmail ....

That's a shame. Your course looked like something I could really use.

I might post the reading list on here because several people have asked.

Cataloguing should be interesting! I know my friend Cindy liked it when she took it.

It takes a special person to like cataloging. Just imagine a person's reaction when you tell them you're into accounting. That's how librarians act about cataloging. I had a few weeks of it in another class and it seemed impossible. I'm hoping the class will help me master it. No one wants to do cataloging anymore, so cataloging jobs are a dime a dozen. That's not really what I want to do, but it'd be a good job to start out with and get my foot in the door... and score health insurance.
