Often times on the meme, really interesting topics come up. They're not wanky or mean-spirited, but the prompt post is not the place for them. Until now, I've been directing them to the guidelines post, but from here on out, I'll direct them here. Heard this quote from Joss Whedon: ...these people shouldn't be in the same room let alone on the same team - and that is the definition of family.

how would the Avengers interact? Theories? Predictions? Wishful thinking? How would these people act around one another and behave one on one?

Steve having a conversation with Tony; Thor having a beer with Bruce? Clint, doing something with Black Widow (I don't then all that well)?

its pretty obvious I had never read any comic on the Avengers- any recommendations that might clue me in?

Well, Tony-Steve interactions can range depending on the writer and situation from hostile to bros to married. Joss Whedon said that they're going to be at odds first. I hope this means lots of banter and big friendship start at the end.
Thor is normally bro with Steve & Tony. Clint and Natasha were/are partners in several continuities and sometimes lovers. On the other hand, Clint was fucked over more than once by Natasha but I don't believe she'll turn traitor in movie verse.
Also, Clint likes to annoy Cap alot.
That's all I got and I don't know much... So take it with a grain of salt.

Also, how about Marvel Adventures: Avengers? MA is the umbrella under which Marvel puts out kid friendly titles which means that it essentually operates as AU fluff fic for the normal MCU. Don't get me wrong, the stories itself are very well written and it's not always kitten and puppies(but mostly) but stuff like Civil War just doesn't exist in that verse.
On the downside only Tony, Cap and Hulk are static members of their Avengers line up but all other turn up at some point.

Sebastian Stan/Bucky anonymous September 6 2011, 05:53:00 UTC
Did anyone else used to watch the tv show Kings? Where Sebastian Stan played an incredibly nuanced character, a prince who was forced to hide his homosexuality to gain power in his kingdom, a soldier who led men well but kept being upstaged, a brother who loved his sister but showed it poorly and couldn't help her, a son who couldn't deal with the power games his parents played with each other, etc. etc. So good, and Sebastian Stan spent most of his screen time with tears pooling in his eyes but never spilling. I could not get his character from Kings out of my mind when watching Captain America. I kept forgetting it was Bucky, and sometimes I even saw Steve as David from Kings instead. Sebastian Stan! Poor little prince. :(

KINGS. Mother of hell I loved Kings. Ugh why do my favorite shows always end after one season. I think that was the show that made me fall in love with Sebs Stan, he was just so damn amazing in it.

Question/poll for everyone: tonks07 September 13 2011, 00:41:29 UTC
Do you like it better when a writer posts thier fic as a WIP as they are writing it or do you like it better when they wait and post the complete fic all at once?

I don't read incomplete stories but I think I'm of the minority. The ones that get a lot of reviews, however, are generally the ones being released slowly over time.

Does anyone know how much older Bucky is compared to Steve?

I got the impression that they were supposed to be about the same age?
Chris Evans is two years older than Sebastian Stan, if that helps any.

That's what I thought, but I keep seeing Bucky referred to as 'the older man' or 'older boy' and I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something. :)
