Woke up this morning and decided I've been an asshole for long enough this time. It's high time I went back to being Captain of this boat. First I guess I should apologise to Jayne, then maybe later I'll get up the nerve to talk to Inara.

Well the last few days have been a nightmare. I really hurt Inara by not being sympathetic enough. She hurt me by sleeping with Jayne and trusting the gorram fed to do what she wouldn't trust me to do. Badger paid us too much, too easily and that makes me very suspicious. Got to have that talk with her today. Hope she'll wait til we get onthe ship because I really need the crew to get paid before I go kill whoever is bothering her. Hope it ain't that fancy gentleman she's been staying with. Hate to think she didn't escape whoever it was the who time I was gone.
