Gareth came to stay with Ciaran last weekend and it was a good weekend of trawling the many fine pubs and restaurants of Stoke Newington. The only sour point was Saturday afternoon, when we decided we really fancied going to a football match. Yeah, Watford toob is surprisingly useless. Even Watford Junction mainline isn't much use for exploring Watford itself (although it does allow you to escape up to Manchester).

I think you would have needed to get the relevant section of what is now London Overground to Watford High Street for your generic town centre/footabll ground.

Round The Hairpin is also, to a large extent, Practice Makes Perfect by Wire, and maybe also Third Uncle by Eno, a bit. It's very good, though.
