Saw Lekman at ATP last week - he was stunning. Postcard to Nina was elongated with the full details of the encounter as monolgues between the verses and one song dropped down to drum machine so the band could down instruments to run around pretending to be aeroplanes. I had never heard any of his music beforehand and he totally captivated me. One of the best things I've seen in ages. Was a little gutted the Scala show had sold out!

I downloaded (I know, I know) a whole bunch of tracks when I got back and have been grooving to them all week. When payday comes it'll be first on the shopping list.

In SF in March Jens sang "Friday night at the drive-in bingo" with the audience whistling the saxophone part in lieu of a saxophonist. Maybe he didn't trust London's whistling skills.
