Ouch, I thought I'd be all on top of it for finals, and the day before my BIIIIIIIIG scary Spanish final, I went "I should study, eh, no" and then I stayed up till 2am, and realized, "I want to sleep" So I studied 30minutes before the test. That was pretty sweet. And I passed! (With a B! I've always thought studying was bad for the brain)But best luck to you with morphing into a responsible grad student. And best luck with the carpool!

Thank you for your wishes of luck! I'm sorry you'd thought that studying was bad for the brain, but I recall experiencing similar things as well. I guess that's one of the things I'll have to struggle with as a teacher, too.

No, studying is good, and helps you, and allows you to better understand material. However CRAMMING, is bad for the brain. I think that was the point I should have tried to make. I'm never good at verbalizing my thoughts. And yes, as a teacher, you'll struggle with kids. Unless, you try to teach only honors and accelerated classes, then you get some rock awesome kids! (aka- me!)
