yay good birthday. double-header pella show was definitely good, as was being able to breath a bit from applications (big ones due yesterday, have two weeks before next batch). and 24 is 42 backwards, which is my favorite number. :)

so the building that has engraved in stone "the library of columbia university" is NOT in fact the library of columbia university. which is sad, because it's BEAUTIFUL. it was in the 1930s, and some of the shelves are still there, with huge windows nearby. it must have been glorious. the actual, current-day library is across the courtyard: far ( Read more... )
