I've been getting quotes for moving companies lately, to see what it costs to move us into our new house in sept. Originally, I was just going to have people help with moving furniture, but with the cost of renting a truck for more than one day, and the cost of packing and wrapping up furniture, and the potential cost of hurting myself, 500-ish

Moving with a mover was the best money I ever spent. It took about 2 hours to move out, 2 to move in. They definitely put the furniture in the right rooms and it's no big deal because YOU don't have to help at all... you just fill up water glasses and direct traffic. If you have it all ready to go when they arrive they are so thankful that I think they do an extra good job. :)
