Thanks for calling me a fundie. Not all Christians are radicals, just like how not all muslims are terrorists.

Where did he call you a "fundie"? All I see is a special message to "fundies" which isn't for you unless you choose it to be.

I read this that *if* you celebrate Christmas, you must be a fundie.

Regardless of the exact grammatical meaning of the sentence, it was obviously written to invoke some kind of sentiment. The use of such emotionally loaded words as "fundie" tend to do that.

He got that emotion out of me, and whether I parsed the exact correct meaning of the sentence according to its punctuation is irrelevant.

Or, as Moonwick said it on IRC:
I just read it as a troll

when i used to teach latin - in a christian high school :-) - i had a saturnalia party in my class every year. it was fun. we ate cake, wore togas, and argued about revisionist history.

It's too bad that everyone seems to be dwelling on the semantics used in trying to maintain a "politically correct" wording to describe the celebration of the birth of the Christian icon, known as Jesus Christ.

In part, this was done "tongue in cheek" as tribute to those great non-offenders that presented us with a "holiday tree" and the "Happy Holidays" slogans, to avoid the term "Christmas".

The primary purpose of this post was obviously to point out the celebrations of the birthdays of several friends, and to actually put a shout out to an icon that many of you refer to as real.

But, the truth is, when you're looking to be offended, you're going to find it.
