So after a week of holding out, I finally bought the books for DnD 4.0. As such, to ring off the new edition, I have started building a new campaign world for which to play in. It will consist of countries and stuff with lots of old ruins and junk. Toss in monsters and such; usually of the treasure and shiny carrying variety and you have a campaign ( Read more... )

Damn, almost choked on my raisin bran right there.

If I didn't already have two games (one current, one theoretically starting soon), I'd love to play. If the theoretical takes a dump and you still have a spot, I'll come begging. :p

That was the most maligned thing about the new edition from most people.

This coming Saturday? I'll do my best to get my ass there, though I'll probably be begging for dice off peeps...

What other supplies should I try and bring, since I'm complete newb?

The Dice is no problem. I got dice. Srsly. We have 2 Player's Handbooks, so thats a non-issue. Just bring any snackage you want and your Ranger playin' ass.

Oh and BTW, Rangers are pretty win now.
