"Good," she said, her voice unusually clipped. She buttoned the jeans as she added, "Frankly, it's the t-shirt that bothers me. I appreciate that it's easy to mass produce items made of fabric that doesn't require fitting, but..." she pulled on the hem with an expression of distaste. She had worn closely fitted clothing before, but it always had an element of tailoring that gave it an element of professionalism. This was just... cheap. She tugged the hem down so as not to show her stomach, then found she had to tug the neckline up for modesty; in the end she settled on letting her stomach show, as it was better than the alternative.

"Let's go, then," she said, turning around and crossing her arms, her back ramrod-straight, as if she could transform her clothes into something more her style by sheer force of dignity.

Akihiko stood beside Ianto as he spoke to Jack on the phone, scratching the back of his neck with one ungloved hand while he held Ianto's hand with the other.

"Uh, how bad do you think it is?" he asked nervously. That telephone call had sounded...frustrated.

Ianto took a deep breath that he let out slowly as he flipped his phone closed. "Honestly?" he asked. "I'm really not looking forward to having to deal with him. He's already started taking his anger out on others, so that can't bode well for anything." He shook his head. "He did suggest I make coffee though..." He looked over at the machine. "Perhaps we all could use some," he said, and led Akihiko over to the little kitchenette ( ... )

"Good morning," she said tersely as she entered the room, her face impassive; she was not going to show her irritation in front of the others, she was too in control for that. Hopefully. The clothes were pushing it.
