So I am canon-reviewing in an attempt to freshen up Usopp's voice and get out of my slump. (Although, posting last week helped me quite a bit already.) As I review, I thought I'd type up any special observations I make as I read. WARNING: I'm awful at text analyzation so don't expect Earth-Shattering Theories.

I love the Veggie Pirates' attitude too. They're neither gullible little fools taken in by Usopp's tales or super-cynical little know-it-alls who don't actually respect him - nope, they know what he's like and only like him the more for it, and they're not braver than him, either. They feel like realistic kids who can still be heroic on occasion.
Usopp really, really, REALLY blows up at Khaladore for bad-mouthing Yasopp, seriously flips out.
I know! And he can throw a punch, too - of course Kuro completely let himself get hit, but it still looked like a fairly powerful hit for a scrawny untrained guy. Usopp didn't even get his hand hurt, apparently.
And yes, he does do surprisingly well against Kaya's guards.
I need to remember that Usopp is pretty familiar with the names of the Big Name Pirates of the OP world.
Usopp also knew about the Davy Back Fight, just like Sanji - but unlike Nami, Zoro and Luffy.
Usopp gets shot by Merry and then HIDES it from the Veggie Pirates. That pushes his manliness meter up a ( ... )
