I just finished watching "Yojimbo." God I love Kurosawa! His use of layering his shots is phenomenal. Your hibernation sounds a lot liek suicide in a way. A shortened suicide perhaps. You wouldn't have to start ALL over from the beginning (if you believe in hat sort of thing) just start off again where you were but with a blank slate?
I don't know that a blank slate is ever really achievable, even at birth we've got genetic predispositions and such. But I too have that desire to run from things, and as many ways as i imagine dealing with them in a better way or trying to go around them, you really just have to deal. you're going to come back to them sooner or later and the more time it takes the harder it's going to be. my god, i'm quite the hypocrite.
I really kind of forgot where I was going with this.... but btw, you're allowed to get personal.
