So I see you've all been having a little fun.

Congratulations. You are all officially useless. So this is where you had to quickly run off to, was it Adam, when I asked you to help me out what that ... thing? And then you came and mocked me about it later. Yes, that really wasn't wise.

My goofy hands are, apparently, quite capable of working this ( Read more... )

I'm sure I don't have feelings simply because I regularly emphasize my dislike for people.

Well just so long as you're self-aware...

But welcome Stackhouse to the wonderful world of Ataantis journaling; everyone assured me you'd find these thing eventually, but I had my doubts. You've proved me wrong though, and it only took, what, a month? Not bad at all.

Yes, it was a rather good effort of me, wasn't it? In fact, I might need to commend you all on your extraordinary skills in the secret department. For once, you lot didn't make it obvious that anything was going on - no secret whispers in front of me, or gasping and turning to silence when I enter the room.

Yes, well special cases call for special efforts. Really one could argue that you should take some pride in the fact that everyone (well aside from me, I couldn't have cared less) put such forth such an effort in keeping the secret because of you.

Yes. And I would just like to suggest that perhaps that point had already been implied in the above. I do happen to take pride in the fact that everyone's actions was circled around me for a while there - and in the good way, not in the whole 'ooh, let's surprise Tim with a randomly stupid and prissy present!' thing.

I'm not actually that bad with technology, for the incredibly unimportant record.
Oh, please - I've heard the air conditioner story.

Have you now? I bet nobody - or Adam, if you like - didn't care to tell you that he offered no help whatsoever for the stupid thing when it stopped working, thus leaving me to do all the work.

Well no, come to think of it he didn't mention that, but this detail in no way changes the fact that you and technology just don't go well together.

I'm not so bad with technology that I can't operate a piece of equipment that is compitantly engineered. However, as you would have noted, I'm not a scientist for a very good reason.

And that's not just because I would rather shoot myself in the leg and live for eternity with that pain than sit and listen to a casual conversation of a bunch of scientists for a few minutes.
