Birthday Boy todayWell, 34 minutes a go I became a year older, and so now the even more fearful path of heading to forty begins. Up to the half way mark you can bluff yourself into thinking things aren’t so bad, but 36 breaks the back of that and now I guess there is no fighting it

If you ask us older people, we say "awe, 40 aint nothin". We always seem to think that when we reach 40 we've reached the pinacle of our lives. Then when we become 50, we think that is the top and everything goes downhill from there. In many ways we are right, after 50 our health really begins a decline. But there are so many more advantages to being older and wiser and such. Most people like their sex lives even more as they age a bit. We can get past all the stress of our lives and just settle into a more relaxed state of mind and body. We worry a whole lot less, on the average.

Any special plans?

trying to get a carvery lunch out right now, but I gave no one notice and so they all have other plans. The people I have asked dont know its my birthday today, and I wanted it that way so that they didnt go out and buy stuff. I am extrenely poor right now (half pay last month dur to sickness) and generally quite broke last six months as I cant get a housemate, so I can never buy presents back on birthdays and feel guilty if they do! grrrr

anyway, might be having chip shop chips tonight... hardly a spcial meal but saves cooking I guess....
