Why must the summer be coming to an end? Hasn't it just started? My parents had to reschedule our annual holiday to the continent because of this, and even then I'll be getting back just in time to catch the Express. Lucky thing I picked up my supplies when I did.

Just so you know, Susan and Hannah are planning a private party for all senior Hufflepuffs and they were wondering if I could pass the message on to you and Ernie. Because we just want us old hands there, we're probably going to have it in the Room of Requirement (where we had our DA "lessons" during our fifth year) so that no one can enter unless they already know about it. Interested?

Sounds brilliant. Anything I should bring in particular?

I'm bringing the Butterbeer but I'm not sure what the others are getting. Maybe you could bring some Muggle lollies, just for a change. Sometimes it's nice to eat stuff that doesn't make steam come out of your ears or you turn into a bat or the like.

I could bring a variety of muggle goods.

Justin, you're back! I was wondering if I'd hear from you before school started up again. How has your too-short summer been so far?

It has been all too short.

I've had just about enough time to catch up on some movies, and next week I'm off to Vienna for a few days.

How has your summer been? Have a nice holiday?

Vienna should be so wonderful! Will you take photos to show around?

I've had a nice holiday, with the exception of being grounded until Sunday night. At least I can write in my journal now. I went to France and had a shopping excursion, which was beyond brilliant.

School is coming upon us too fast for my liking. Before we know it, we'll be in the real world. It's a scary thought.

Of course I'll be taking pictures, just don't be too surprised if there are the obligatory family photos in there.

You're off groundation and I leave for the continent. Isn't that convienient. What have you done to deserve such a cruel fate?

And before we know it, Ernie will be preaching the virtues of studying for our NEWTs. Oh how I can't wait for those days.

Make the most of summer while you can, Justin, we're going to have our socks worked off this year!

How are things in the nonmagical world? Alas, I wasn't allowed to go to Muggle London this year, like I normally do.

I'm trying to. How much can I fit into a week, other than leaving the country?

Things are fine where I live, considering it is a more isolated area of Oxfordshire. The good thing about being able to apparate is that I can now come and go more freely, I just have to pop into deserted areas.

How has your summer been?

I suppose apparating would really help, but goodness, you must have to be so careful that people don't see you! Well, nonwizards, that is. Wizards wouldn't get confused by it, I don't think.

Summer has been really, really odd. One minute, Dad's restricting all my movements, bar seeing my Muggle relatives, the next he's saying I can go and stay with Susan for a few days and go to Diagon Alley by myself! It's rather confusing, I have to say...
