Just seeing Miranda's face makes Tsuna's throat tighten and his eyes are suddenly feeling very hot. He sets his mouth, trying to seem much older and responsible than he feels right now. Because right now all he wants to do is hide in his bed and sob. But crying won't solve anything, but when he's receiving so little information from Roxas he feels utterly and completely useless.

Suddenly the Don's gaze is very hard and his large eyes droop as what was supposed to be a well contained anger show completely on his young face.

"M-Miranda-san." He clears his throat and avoids eye contact for a split second. "I need to talk to you." So guilty, he feels so guilty and he doesn't know really what he's supposed to be telling the resident exorcist.

Tsuna takes the seat gratefully, until he takes in the contents scattered all over the desk. Amber eyes widen as he runs his fingers over the doodles, as if his touch might burn them and then that's one more bit of his friend that will be lost. He shakes his head of such depressing thoughts and instead turns to watch Miranda search for refreshments.

With a heavy sigh he finally opens his palm and pinches the ring between his index finger and thumb. There's a heavy thump as he lets the piece of jewelry fall onto a book and as the sound hits his ears, his heart sinks. It sinks low into his stomach and makes his insides twist sickeningly.

He opens his mouth to answer her, but the words catch in his throat for a second and he bows his head. "Just water will be fine." It's a low groan and it's cracked up by the thick sound of tears and grief.
