managed to reverse the trend of sucky 4th of Julys past with a whizbanger of a time last night. we had a bbq in the backyard in celebration of the Walpole fireworks. Unbeknownst to us, the fire truck parade also kicked off at 6:30pm

actually, the history of the emergency vehicles in Walpole parades come from the times back when Norwood would try to set fire to Walpole on any given occasion but particularly amids the hubbub of the 4th of July.
Clearly they haven't succeeded but we'll get you yet. Just you wait and see!
raoul? hi. oh, gee... it has been a long time since i went to walpole fireworks. there was this guy, mr. dalton, he lived in s. walpole and ran a print shop, and for a few 4th's i went with his family to the town fair err, whatever it was... no rides, but the thing was the fireworks. and they had strawberry shortcake. the real stuff. this was quite a while ago, but they were really nice fireworks even then.
