003: Shouldn't have done that

I guess this is what that guide meant by experiments, right? Seems pretty harmless, from what I can tell. I think I'll be avoiding that wine in the fountain though ( Read more... )

love experiment, i kissed the doctor and he liked it

Yeah, could be in the water or the air...

....

Hello again, beautiful.

Ah...Hi, Jack...

[A little flustered at being called beautiful? Check.]

I feel like we haven't seen each other in too long. Can we meet somewhere?

Oh, so that's what the alcohol in the fountain does? How silly--

...

[There's the sound of a sigh and what might be him muttering "Oh dear, Nagakura-san..." but he's quiet enough that someone might miss it.]

Well, as far as I can tell, it's just alcohol. Still, no harm in being safe, right?

...what was that?

I suppose, but alcohol always makes people act so strangely. My friends, at least.

Hm? Oh, nothing. Just wondering what my roommate was up to.

How have you been, Harkness-san?

Have they been acting any stranger than usual? Any of them fallen in love suddenly?

Please, just Jack. I've been settling in all right here... still getting used to the place, though. It's a bit strange to be stuck in one spot.

Yeah. That wine. Don't drink it. Even though it looks so good.

[ooc: Oh, and she's sad because she can't drink the wine, not because anything happened. Just to be clear. ^^; ]

So there is something wrong with it, then.

I don't know that I'd really say wrong, but it makes people, well, I think you've seen.

Doesn't seem too much worse than regular alcohol, though. But I may not have seen everything that's happened.

It's merely a simple bio-medical transference sublimation field with a target of the neurological system. I doubt it'd have any real lasting effects. [Is completely in denial of any and all "magic" business.]

...Though I'd advise staying away from that fountain, yeah. Not so much what's in it as the people gathered around it.

You haven't been affected by it, have you, Doctor?

Oh, I don't know, it looks like quite the party.

Don't be ridiculous. [Chuckles softly.] It'd take more than a [Laughs out:] "love potion" to get get to me. [Still laughing, but not raucously, still low and soft.]

With the number of drunks I overheard I'd think I was in London watching Rose and Mickey go "pub hopping".

Sure, sure. Seems like most people who have been affected don't know they are though, right? [Normally he'd be quite enjoying the sound of the Doctor's laugh, but his thoughts are all filled with Aya at the moment. He doesn't think this strange at all.]

...like I said, sounds like a good party.

Experiments...They're usually a little less frilly than this.

I wondered. Still, kinda wonder how they did it, or why, even. Were you affected?

By the fountain? [She laughs, self-consciously.] Kinda. A bit.

Must have missed that. What happened? Do you remember?
