(I'm _awful_, I know. Absolutely horrible. Mi dispiace... I may, _may_ have something to tell/ask you about at some point in the future that will hopefully go some way toward making amends for being a TERRIBLE FRIEND the past couple of years. I'm still waiting on some information before I can let you in on it, though

Yeah...I think one of my main problems with Ghost Light--besides the fact that Seven's method of making Ace face her fears involved trickery and her fucking _crying_ (if a Companion does that because of the Doctor, it should be because she thinks he's about to die!)...was the confusingness of it. I would like the writing more if I _understood_ it more--I don't get on well with Artsy Symbolic whatever. I guess this means I'm kinda lowbrow, but really, my main problem is that it's _irritating_--do it too much, and it comes off as PRETENTIOUS. That, in addition to the darkness, is part of what scared me off Battlestar and Heroes, for example. (KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE FLASH-SIDEWAYSES. UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO _EXPLAIN_ THEM SOMETIME SOON

Oh, also! I had not heard about the Going Postal adaptation, no. Huh. Of course, I _still_ haven't watched Colour of Magic (I HAVE it, somewhere, I just haven't watched it), so I'm obviously way behind on my Discworld adaptations.
And the books, too. I finally bought Unseen Academicals, but haven't so much as opened it. And I have read...crap, what's it called? Making Money. Duh. I read it, but it wasn't my copy, and you know how it is when it isn't your copy... I have a strong feeling I'll be in full Discworld swing when I do get around to reading UA (or if I get back to listening to the audio books...testing isn't as conducive to audio books as analysis was), but until then I'll just have to keep in mind that there are movies out there
