So Stephen King has sold the screenwriting option to "The Dark Tower" to the guys who did (do?) "Lost." The price for said option $19, a number of great importance in the series ( Read more... )

I had heard that "The Dark Tower" rights were sold to produce a long series of comic books. I had not heard about the movie/tv series. Many of the people envisioned as characters are now too old or even passed on. It should be interesting though.

Steven John Spolarich = 19 I asked my dad about it once, he just kinda chuckled.

It'll be a tough cast to fill. I can see Clive Owen as Roland. Jake, Eddie, and Susanna...

Maybe Luke Wilson as Eddie? He can have a gruff new york look to him, I don't know if he can play drugged out, withdrawl, edgy enough. I'd almost say Colin Farell but I can't see him playing well with others, or really being able to act.

They'll need to find a new face for Jake.

I can see Rutger Hauer playing the villian in the under city, if he's still above ground by then.

I hope Halle Berry doesn't play Susanna.

Once I finish the Dresden Files I should reread the DT.
