Still trying to keep posting my Myspace blogs on here-- here's the most recent one.
So, when Melissa and I were in Atlanta, we stopped by Grant Park and took lots of nature pictures and decided to tell a little story.
Melissa and I decided to take a break from our touristy travelling in Atlanta and get back to nature by visiting Grant Park.
As we were walking around the park, Melissa decided she needed a restroom immediately so we followed the signs.
But Melissa was distracted by this well and as she was leaning over to see how deep the well was, she fell in!
Being the good friend that I am, I jumped in to save her!
Boy were we surprised when we landed, not to drown in the depths of a well, but in Woodland Forest!
The first creature we met was this talking tree!
So I started talking to the tree to see if we could figure out where Relient K was (since of course Woodland Forest is their vacation spot). When they forget to update their blogs and tour journals, and when there's no news from RK for a while, it's because they're in Woodland Forest...according to the talking tree.
We found Merle the Squirrel too.
But he was busy with a lady friend and didn't have time to talk to us.
So the talking tree directed us down this path and said we'd probably find Relient K at the end of it.
We came to a fork in the road and it took me a while to remember which path we were supposed to take.
I finally remembered which direction the tree said to take.
But Melissa didn't agree with me.
I assured Melissa I was right and we headed down the path. Much to my surprise, a few minutes later the path just ended.
So we back-tracked and began looking for Relient K in earnest.
RK wasn't in the bushes, down a deserted path, or even in this Civil War Cannon Melissa found in Woodland Forest.
I decided, enough of this, and went back to the talking tree to get some better directions.
And I was horrified to find this!
Melissa sat down to think for a moment.
Then, of course, who should come to our rescue but Merle!
Merle told us to relax-- the talking tree wasn't dead, we'd just taken a wrong turn and the tree Melissa was currently using as a chair had been sawn down a long time ago.
Merle told us Relient K wasn't in Woodland Forest but that Matt had left something behind the last time they'd visited (because Merle had loaned Matt a cabbage.)
Melissa and I poured through the album art looking for clues.
Finding no clues as to Relient K's presence in or return to Woodland Forest, Melissa and I turned to leave; realizing we didnt' know how to leave.
Thank goodness for Merle the Squirrel who once again guided us-- this time by showing us the portal at the base of a tree which led back to Grant Park. ...yes, it was a tight fit.

Moral of the story? When a talking tree gives you directions, you'd better write them down. (Oh, and, don't jump into wells because chances are you'll drown rather than be magically whisked away to another land created from John Warne and Matt Thiessen's odd senses of humor.)
...and get plenty of rest or you'll end up doing weird photo ops like these in a park in Atlanta.
