Series/Fandom: Torchwood/Doctor Who
Original or Template version: Template

Age: At least 125? D:
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Marked: No

Appearance: Jackie is damn attractive, and she knows it. With dark eyes, and fair skin, she knows she can paint a pretty picture if she just so wants to. With long, dark hair that she can wear curly or straight, depending on her mood, Jackie knows just what to do to get others to look. And she likes that.

Her actual build is a bit slender, but she's got enough of a bust to flaunt when she really wants to. She usually prefers simple outfits, though. They better lend themselves to running and doing what she needs to get done. But she doesn't mind dressing up when the occasion calls for it. It just rarely does.

Personality: Jackie is a pervert. Everything that she says has some sort of hidden meaning, and not of the manipulative kind, but more along the lines of innuendo. She will hit on anything that moves, a side effect of the fact that she's from the 51st century, where man has already screwed everything out there that there is to screw. Sexuality is old hat to her. Jackie also believes it's entirely possible to love more than one person at a time, so she's not one for commitment like most modern day guys (and girls and aliens) are expecting.

Part of the fact that Jack speaks in innuendos, she's also rather sarcastic. When she wants, she can be cold and calculating, all the while still charming the person she's talking to. It's a rather necessary skill as a conman. Jackie doesn't like to let others get hurt, and she's went so far as to put herself in a state of mortal peril to protect others, BEFORE she was immortal.

Jackie is also very much a technology geek, and she gets awed by various pieces of technology easily. She's quite the handyman at fixing them when necessary.

Also, Jackie is a very capable leader, mostly from her time in the military. She has an understanding of proper protocol and the chain of command. However, most of the time, she's at the top of it-unless the Doctor is there. Then, the proper way of doing things is to refer all questions to her, and she'll refer all questions to the Doctor. It's an amazing system, you see.

Abilities/Strengths: Jackie is an amazing shot with any sort of gun that is placed before her. She is also a natural leader when she actually puts her mind to a task. She has a few years of military training, so she can at least know how to carry out a comprehensive mission when appropriate. She's very personable, once you get past the whole flirting thing.

Also, Jackie has a kiss of life. She can transfer energy with a kiss. ;)

Weaknesses: In the same breath, Jackie will do anything for the Doctor, which is not always in hers or everyone else's best interests. Jackie is immortal, but she can still feel pain, and she's not superhuman or any of that. She also tends to get upset about the two years of her life that she doesn't remember.

And she flirts with anything that moves.

History: Jackie's history is largely unknown, including her original name, but the few things that are known before her encounter with the Doctor: she was a time agent in the 51st century, and had been a prisoner of war at some point. The trauma and disillusionment from said status caused Jackie to become a con artist with a false name and fake memories. Also, the time agency she had worked for had extracted two years of her life, and she cannot recall those years at all.

She first met the Doctor and Rose in 1941, at the Blitz, where she attempted to con the pair. But through a series of events, they ended up saving her life and she traveled with them to repay the debt back. But traveling with them changed Jackie from her old ways of being the mean con-man to being a hero. As they fought against the Daleks, Jackie was shot and killed.

However, Rose revived her while she was infused with the power of the Vortex. This changed Jackie into what the Doctor called a "Fact in Time," meaning she could never die. She was the only one like such. When she was first revived, the Doctor and Rose had no clue of her revival and assumed everyone was dead.

Jackie then, in a desperate attempt to catch up to them, used her watch, a gift of the Time Agency she had worked with, that allowed her to travel through time at will. However, the watch broke, leaving her stranded in the time period she was in. And the place as well, where Jackie first discovered her uncanny ability to not die.

Salem, Massachusetts. A volatile town that many remember. And Jackie's always wanted to go back and give Abigail Williams a piece of her mind after that mess! It was more annoying than it needed to be, dying and then escaping from there. But there were bigger fish to fry, once she'd escaped.

It was soon after that that Jackie met her first encounter with the fairies that most Torchwood fans know and love, where a Chosen child vanished right before her very eyes, after destroying an entire town. She'd heard of something similar happening in another town and vowed she'd stop it then.

She did a little picking and sweet talking and gathered a team of five together, the beginnings of Torchwood, though she didn't realize that until later. They tried, unsuccessfully, to stop the fairies, and then moved on to bigger fish to fry, since Jackie had an uncanny ability to notice when strange things were happening.

But things only got more hectic when they stumbled upon a time rift somewhere in America, and somehow Jackie ended up in Template, in the early 1800s, and she quickly moved on from playing adventurer to looking for the Doctor and Rose that she so missed, knowing they'd be somewhere around there, what with Template's time rift.

After living through wars, and stopping an alien virus driving people mad in France, Jackie once again joined Torchwood, this time with a formal name, and she put together a team of five. Suzie, Tosh, Ianto, Owen, and herself. It was then that her Template decidedly changed to something that she wasn't quite as familiar with…
