there is a link at the bottom of the text box you typed into that says "(HTML okay; by default, newlines will be auto-formatted to
- or, use the rich text mode.)" you click the rich link and it sends you to another page and at the top you get options of stuff to put into your journal.. and the picture is one of those options.

oh, also, you HAVE to have the picture uploaded to a site.. I suggest photobucket.com, it is easy to use for people who don't know much about html.
