Everyone at one point or another gets the feeling that they won't succeed at anything. You are not alone. And I don't think there is a kid alive that has brother or sisters that doesn't get compared to their siblings. Parents don't realize how it comes across to their kids when they say things. They don't hate you. They just want to see you live up to your full potential. Parents don't always do things in a way that conveys that to thier kids. It's like a curse. I always felt that I didn't live up to my parents expectations because I was nothing like my brother...the good grade getting, never got in trouble (cause he never got caught), pisshead that he was. I constantly got into trouble, be it smoking, drinking staying out too late... I always felt like they hated me. They didn't. Many years later I found this out. They were disappointed in themselves more than me...because they knew I could be a better person than I was at the time and they felt like they scewed up somehow. but they didn't hate me.
I love you Chris. I love you very much. I am sorry your parents can't see how wonderful you are. Just do the best you can, I think we all feel that way at some point or another.
