About a month ago, I was in the process of buying a house in Dunmurry. I'd looked at the house, put an offer on (for £1,500 above the asking price), gone through Co-Ownership to get funding, then applied for a mortgage, and then, on the very same day that I got confirmation that the Mortgage had been approved, this happened.

Hooray! Getting a house is an amazingly grown up thing to do - I am appropriately in awe. And I'm glad you really like the one you're getting!

Indeed it is, that is the Monument the guys build in the "Reap The Wild Wind" video.

On an even nerdier note, once I'm settled in the new house I may very well attempt an end-of-living-room scale one of these as a woodwork project, but certainly not before I've cut my teeth on the IKEA Billy Bookcase TARDIS upgrade. :D

I can confirm that they rarely if ever check what your card actually says or looks like, so it may be possible to lend an Annual Pass and get you into Thorpe Park for free.

Tempting thought, but with my luck I just know that the day I do this would be the day Jack Bauer takes over gate security and I would end up 97 ways dead. :D
