Mine's been pretty much friends locked for awhile, although I haven't made it "official" with a banner or on my profile page. I just feel better about non-fandom things being limited to a small number of people and not available to just anyone coming in off the internets.

I think if you give the "Friends Only" post a date far far in the future it will always come up first on your list. I've seen people do that.

Yeah, it does make me feel better knowing that what I'm saying is limited to a small group. I should have done this a year ago when I found out that after Skyler died, the reporters from the local paper were quoting a friend of a friend's LJ in his article about the death.

You date it into the future. I don't know if that works for free accounts, but I'm pretty sure it works for paid ones.

Also, I think you can set the default for your posts to be friends-locked.

And uh.. I am honestly not sure how we ended up on each others' lists! I'm guessing something VM related. So if you need to make cuts, I'll understand.

Well.. my journal isn't FO ...but most of the posts are now. I did some editing this monday. It's sad but you've to be careful.
