A few things for you today...
I WENT TO THE MERLIN PREVIEW TODAY OMG. Spoilers under the cut...
...His name...Merlin...
OMG THE MERLIN PREVIEW WAS IMMENSE. calliglad and I got the train at 11.45, and got to Waterloo and met up with tazza_di_jo and electrictoes. Major glomping occured. Man I love them. So we headed off, all excited to the BFI Southbank to get our tickets....but we still had a while before it started so got lunch in EAT. and had a wander arounf the Southbank.
Went back into the BFI where there were loads of random kiddy activities going on but we got free posters, postcards and ACTIVITY BOOKS! (There was a choice of Arthur or Merlin and I knew it would take me ages to decide between them so I just picked up the one nearest to me, and that was Arthur....he sooo pretty...)
Anyways, we went into the auditorium/theatre thingy and electrictoes and tazza_di_jo
had great seats right in the middle, and calliglad and I were right at the side but were nearer the front...and Bradley James, Colin Morgan, GILES, Richard Wilson, Katie McGrath, Angel Coulby, Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy were like 5 rows behind us so.... :o
Well anyways, some guy from the BFI went on...and on...and on... about some competitions and BLAH...before FINALLY it was time for Series 2, Episode 1 of Merlin!!
Well I can say Bradley James fans will be pleased, he is topless for the first two minutes. Slash fans will also be pleased.... lots of inuenndo-ness! I won't spoil you completely for the episode, but I feel that a few plot lines were pinched from ol' JK Rowling (all I'm saying is Horcruxes), and that Mackenzie Crook (who plays a guy called Cedric) isn't that great an actor...but just my opinion. Anyways, the whole episode is HILARIOUS, SLASHY, PRETTY AND AWESOMESAUCE. Oh and there was one bit where Arthur was horrible to Merlin, and the audience 'awwed', and suddenly we hear Bradley shout "He deserved it!!" MEGA LOLZ!
We also got to see a preview for the rest of the series and OH BOY. IT LOOKS IMMENSE. THERE IS KISSING. THERE IS CRYING. THERE IS TROLLS. THERE IS MAGIC. THERE IS MODRED AND LANCEALOT. THERE IS KILLING. AND gasps. Oh alright there's Gwen/Arthur kissing, Merlin/random kissing (I thought it was Morgana, calliglad thought it might have been Gwen and electrictoes and tazza_di_jo
weren't sure) and Gwen/Lancealot hand holding. There was also Arthur threatening to kill Uther.... GASP. Also Julian Murphy revealed that the Greta Dragon will be released at some point this series. Anyway...I've completely spoiled you now....
Then came the Pannel/Q+A sesh and Katie looked absoloutely GORGEOUS. She was wearing a black sparkly jacket thing, black skinny jeans, and awesome shoes...and well, she pretty. Anyways, there were some great moments, one girl wanted to ask a question to Anthony Head but forgot his name so just called him Giles. It was brilliant. Another tiny, weeny girl asked the most adorable qyestion to Bradley- "How do you shoot the arrows withoput hurting the actresess?" Bradley had no idea how to answer this! Also when someone asked a question about do any of their personalities reflect on the characters they all turned to Bradley!! But all the cast were very beautiful, very lovely, and generally amazing. *fangirl sigh*
We went Waggamamma's for dinner, which was yum, and wandered around the Southbank for a bit before the inevitable goodbyes... I was very WOOBIE. I hate leaving electrictoes and tazza_di_jo
... although I've only known them a short while, I love them and they are great friends. So yes, we were all woobie. :( But we'd had a great day and Merlin was amazing...so no complaints there! :D Pictures to come soon....
I GOTS ME A HOUSE :D If you didn't know yet, I'm off to Portsmouth Uni to study Drama and English, but didn't get into halls, but I finally found some housemates (my friend Laura, and three lovely guys called Kieran, Guy and Laurence) and a nice room in a house with them!
I'm actually really looking forward to Uni, I'm just worried because my loan hasn't come through yet :s Still, I should make some great new friends and I just know I'm going to enjoy my course. That reminds me, I must get some passport photos so I can get my UoP student card, and I need to choose my course modules for next year...I HAVE NO IDEA!
So yup, excited about Uni! Need to catch up on my fandoms, will get some time tomorrow, so that's the plan. I just been major busy the kast week!
