This very hectic past workweek ended without any major disasters. A major case finally got filed, and despite having a couple of its own hiccups, and being majorly involved in the technofuck of the past few weeks, I made it to the weekend with the case more or less on track. Just back from the eye doctor's, and everything seems fine. Other than still seeing fuzzy from having my pupils dilated. But it's okay, since I can't drive anywhere anyway because stupidhead left his lights on when he got to work this morning. I'm waiting for the jump, and my final appointment, as I write.

No more clients died since I was last here. That I know of, anyway. Takes some time, sometimes; as Johnny Carson once observed, after you die, your fingernails continue to grow but your phone calls taper off.

I guess it's fitting that we spent a good part of "Thanksgiving" weekend in virtual Canada, where Thursday was just, well, the day before the weekend. We never left the house the whole day except me and the dog for walkies, or opened the door for anything other than our last holiday delivery of the newspaper. A day since the jab and no major ill effects. My arm hurt quite a bit at the site of the shot when I got up this morning, but that's down to a dull roar. We're not going anywhere or having anybody for the occasion, so we got decent geezer naps in, which helped with the feeling of general malaise from the boost.  Not that the dog was much help with ( Read more... )
