ok I know I am late on the Potter boat but I just finished The Half-Blood Prince and I can't get over it!! holy shit can we say this shit is really heavy for childrens reading?! i think it's great - coming from somone who was reading Clive Barker at age 12 (even if I didn't understand everything) so I think it's really awsome how Rowling was just ( Read more... )

i thought the same thing when i finished half-blood prince. pretty violent for kids.

i love sirius, too. he was my fave and she took him from us! then she went all crazy with my man snape. someday, i'm gonna fight j.k. rowling for what she's done.

how about those dead children reaching our for you from the icy depths of a black pool deep inside a cave ... saying they get that far in the films I don't suppose many 7 year olds will find that comforting to think about at night. zombies!!!

I saw these flicks but you've convinced me...I need to read the books. Michelle loves them and has read them since they came out. She's always telling me to read them. And to think Rowling was a single welfare mom now she's worth over $1B!!!!

Its about time you finished! But anywho, welcome to the OMGICANTWAITTILLTHESEVENTHBOOKCOMESOUT Club. We meet thursday nights. I was so shocked by the book that i couldnt even cry! but it was so crazy, and awesome, and super! My children will definetly be exposed to these books! The real dark lord must be pleased . The fourth movie is going to be tremendous! Its my favorite one...it will be flippin sweet! Man thats a lot of explanation marks. but HP is very very exciting.

Gotta be carful whatthe kids read. My mother objected only to Judy Blume (go figure!) and didn't supervise the books like she did the tv. Consequently I read graphic descritpions of child molestation and hardcore porn before I was 13. No wonder I'm a little fucked up.
