It is interesting to note that in Church history, the full canon of the New Testament was not officially declared until the Council of Trent (Roman Catholic) in1546.  In 1647 the Westminster Confession of Faith adopted the canon for the Calvinistic tradition.  The Synod of Jerusalem in1672 made the canon official for the Greek
