Hey baby, I love you. What happened? I also have problems with people making others feel guilty about their faith. If someone really wants to be "saved" making them feel guilty is not the way to do it. It is through that individuals personal decsion not through forced guilt by others. I love you for who you are. You are awesome and I will never try to force something on you. I am sorry that you had to go through an experience like that. It is individuals like this, who do many good things but other times force things upon people that I fear put a bad name upon Christianity. Oi vey. Hi, Loch Ness Imposter, I'm just a random passer-by and I thought I would comment on this.
You have to know that I do not know you or Johnathan but I have been on both sides of the situation. You said this: "but I'm pretty sure God would have a problem with you making people feel guilty about their faith rather than loving them for who they are." In Mark 16:15, Christ said this: "And he said unto them, Go ye into ALL THE WORLD, and preach the gospel to every creature."
To share the gospel with a person, you have to give them a reason for sharing the gospel. A little fact that says that we are all sinners. I think there was miscommunication between both of you. Perhaps he did not know when to politely stop, and perhaps you were confusing his intentions. Why would he do this? If he's right, something awful will happen to people with unconfronted sins, both in this life and the next...he is doing this because he loves you and wants you to find true happiness. Not many people have friends like this.
