Dirt shmirt! Before I went to burningman I was in vegas for a couple days... eyes red and burning the whole time. Out on the playa there was nary an inflamed eyeball or phlegmy lung.
Even with that alkyline dust getting everywhere, it's more human-friendly than your average city.
