The electronics in my household are working in concert against me. My Wii no longer recognizes the remote, my xbox 360 displays in weird rainbowy colors, normal TV has an alternating red/green tint, my DVD drive on my computer is on the fritz and won't install world of warcraft without locking up my computer (now it won't respond to the eject

try pushing the red button on the remote while pressing the red button on the wii, although i'm guessing you already did

also, go to a mac store and they;ll replace that adapter for you. I was having the exact same problem with mine.
