If your Brussels sprouts came on a stalk, cut off the individual sprouts. Most people discard the stalk as the outside is tough and woody, though the center is edible and supposedly tastes like broccoli, but that's another recipe

I'm quite a fan of brussels. =:9 They afford a rich cabbage tang, but in these wonderful nuggets.
Along these lines, I was quite impressed how well they barbecue! Wrap them in bacon, and just onto the grill for a suitable amount of time, to let that bacony goodness permeate the sprouts as they cook - really quite good. ^_^
