Read that article a while ago and I have to admit it put tears in my eyes as I was really touched by the honesty and the intimacy... I also think the article's very well written!

Wow. I juat found this article on a facebook fan page, Light Up, Light Up, and it's November 2024. I've seen many videos of interviews (from many years ago and more recent) with Gary where he reveals so much of himself. Such a great soul, so much talent. So honest and generous.
We tend to idolize famous people, success, and wealth yet none of these bring lasting happiness. I can see how fame can be an addictive trap. Yet Gary has used his fame and fortune to help others, which provides purpose. I'm so glad i started exploring Snow Patrol's and Gary's music this past summer. Now an avid fan! Snow Patrol is my absolute favorite band.
