You can only do this:

To make all of your past entries Friends-Only or Private, you must edit each entry individually (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=2) to change the security level on each one. LiveJournal does not provide a way to change all of your past journal entries from Public to Friends-Only or Private with one command. See http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=24 for details about the various security settings.

On the usermenu, go to personal info, and scroll down, and you'll see:
Who can reply to your entries? Anybody Registered Users Friends only

Log IP addresses of people replying? No Anonymous posters only Always

Which replies do you want screened by default...

and then from here on out, only people on your friends list can reply.

where you go to make an entry, goto the three dots. below it should say "who can view your entiries" or some shit. click and drag to friends. you'll have to do this with each entry.
