Kris breaks it off with Chanyeol. Chanyeol later discovers something more heartbreaking.

Chanyeol gathers some of his clothes, his wallet, phone and keys, and throws them all into a small shoulder bag he had kept in his side of the cupboard. Looking around his and Wufan's shared room, he makes sure he has brought everything important to him and leaves the room with his fist in his mouth. He tries not to cry. He locks the door behind him and makes his way to the bus stop just outside his apartment complex with only one person he can think of going to: Baekhyun.
An empty bus arrives in just a few minutes and Chanyeol chooses a seat at the back. He wishes the bus could go faster so he could reach Baekhyun's in fifteen minutes instead of thirty. He also doesn't think he can hold it in any longer when the bus passes one of his and Kris' favorite cafes just down the street from their apartment, but he tries to and he does. He really feels miserable and again he wishes the bus driver could step on it. It doesn't help that the only thing going through his head is it's over.
The bus stops in front of Baekhyun's apartment complex after a thirty-minute ride, and Chanyeol hops off as fast as he can. He runs up the stairs to the fifth floor, arriving outside his best friend's door. He takes a deep breath before keying in the code. This is one of the times when Chanyeol is grateful Baekhyun trusts him enough to give him the code to his apartment.
Chanyeol has barely stepped into the apartment when he thinks he hears a long moan come from Baekhyun's bedroom. He decides that Baekhyun is probably watching his usual pornographic videos, and takes quick steps to the bedroom where the door is ajar. He peeks from the door frame and nearly faints from shock.
On the bed, his best friend has his head thrown back and there's a man on top of him that Chanyeol would recognise anywhere. The black hair, muscled back and the tattoo on the man's left arm. A tattoo so similar to Wufan's it's almost identical.
Chanyeol drops his bag, creating a noise loud enough for the two men in bed to stop and look up. Baekhyun curses and starts to speak, but Chanyeol's gaze is only on the man that is looking back at him. The same man who had broken it off with him barely half an hour ago is now naked with his best friend in bed.
"Chanyeol, it's not-"
"How long?" Chanyeol asks with his eyes closed, tears collecting beneath his eyelids.
He really doesn't need to see anymore.
"A few months," Wufan mutters under his breath, and that's all Chanyeol needs to hear.
"I need to go," he mumbles, picking up his bag and sprinting out of the apartment.
Chanyeol hears Baekhyun calling for him, but he doesn't want to look back. His grip on his bag tightens and he sprints to the bus stop, boarding the bus that is about to leave. He doesn't care where it would take him, but he hopes it is far enough.
Chanyeol takes out the square box from his bag and looks out the window, holding onto the box firmly as hot tears finally spill over. The only thing Chanyeol wants is for the ground to open and swallow him up but that's impossible, and so he's left with wet cheeks and a broken heart.
It really can't get any worse than this.
