If there are flowers, then there are bees. I do know of a place where there is fruit.

And you speak wisely. It is only a matter of discovering where the bees make their home, and finding a way to safely remove the honey from the hive.

We could look in the buildings that are not used by the gardens. That would be a good place to start.

I know what they look like, but not the names. They grow on vine like stems on the ground and are red with black spots.

That seems a wise place to begin. The buildings would hide the bees from other creatures, and still leave them close enough to reach the flowers.

[She perks at the description.]

Strawberries? They sound like strawberries. They are shaped somewhat like a heart and are sweet if eaten when ripe. Do they grow wild here?

So it is with us. Not that I begrudge fresh meat. The odd meat from the metal boxes does not taste at all like meat should. Occasionally we find little metal boxes that claim to have fruit, but again, the taste is very different.

Mr. Starfyr has said he knows where there are some strawberries. I shall be sure to set aside some for you when I pick them.

[She smiles.]

I would not mind at all, Sango. It is always best to work in the company of friends.

You mean the cans? Kagome-chan has explained them to me. They keep food edible, even if it's not quite--fresh.

Cans? Yes, if that is the word. I had not learned it yet. We do not have such things in my time. That would explain the odd taste to the food, if it is not entirely fresh.

I will be at home, yes. Out in the back, where the sun is best.

I have been able to secure a sufficient source of vegetables and some fruits by searching the outskirts of the wastelands.

They do not grow in abundance, by any means, but there are certainly enough to be found for a small household.
